Lilly Pulitzer and Starbucks kind of day...

Yesterday was the annual Pink Bee Westend tent sale.  After a summer of relaxing and sleeping in until lunch, we got up at 6:00 and headed to downtown Greenville for this amazing sale.  We were about 50th in line so we got in relatively quick.  After our successful trip, we had to hit Starbucks!

New school year...New school theme!

Lighthouse for Learning and Leadership is our school theme this year!   I am on the hunt for ideas for my classroom.  

I was fortunate to travel up north a few summers ago to the Cape, Maine and then to Martha's Vineyard.  I hope to incorporate my vacation pictures into my class. 

I thought of printing these and letting students do research on the types of lighthouses?  I am also looking for bulletin board ideas.  

Any suggestions? 

Back to reality

Being home after a long vacation is great.  Everything is so green. But it has been raining for three weeks straight.  While I enjoyed the sun my poor husband was stuck at home. I was glad to get back and see my pets and backyard.  

I think we are all back to one happy family.  

How are your pets when you return home from an extended stay ?

Last weekend in Charleston

After spending most of the summer at kiawah island, we ended our time in charleston at my dear friends wedding.  I must say charleston weddings are beautiful.  

And now to relax at the Mills House before our evening festivities.  

How do you relax after a big event.  

My last week on vacation...

I was blessed to spend the summer at Kiawah Island.  My family has been coming for the past 20 years.  I found this time line of the island and thought I would share...

Since 2007 more golf and tennis tournaments have been held here plus the new Ocean course club house.  They just hosted another PGA tournament. 

The biggest thing I enjoy is the walk to the beach.  It is always an adventure.  Around every corner is beautiful scene. A bike ride in the evening is a must.

Still on vacation but time to think about school.

I just got our school supply list for my class.  Due to the economy we are only asking for 2 packs of notebook paper, binder, 2packs of pencils and tab dividers.  

So what about glue, markers or crayons, scissors and more paper?   Well that will be up to me to provide. If anyone would like to donate supplies to my class it would be much appreciated.
