The perfect manicure...

I am always on the hunt for the perfect polish and fun colors.  This summer my daughter is getting married so I am looking for a neutral color and one that last.  So, the hunt is on.  I have read many blogs and tried many suggestions. I enjoy doing my own nails so I really don't want to go to the salon.  With that being said, this week I am trying Nutra Nail Gel.  The box says sheer pink, but it looks beige.

I am very hopeful on how long it last.  It went on very easy and dried fast.  It is not thick.  Very smooth and has a wet finish.  Since I am on spring break this would be the week to test it out.  I will keep you posted.
The most impressive is the cost!  Less than 10.00

Technology based learning

My students are spoiled with technology.  But is that a bad thing?  We start our day with our announcements on the computer.  I send my morning "to do" list to them in the form of a rap using an app that they can listen to on their on device.  They watch a video to activate our daily lesson essential question and send me a email when they have finished their research.  I can provide immediate feedback on their work.

Here students are using an iPad to look for information on one of Newtons laws.  They are actively in charge of their learning. I am clearly the facilitator.  When finished they can choose a creative way to share their work.  Students have used stop motion to create a movie or slide share to display facts for future classes.
So if they are spoiled using technology, I say good for them!  They are highly intelligent students who can find information and relate it to real word examples.  They can create their own work from knowledge gained.  Ask them a question and be prepared to be amazed.
