Snow Day

Snow came to the south...

We got a dusting of snow but it was just enough to call off school.  Being a teacher I was very greatful for a day off. I used my time off to get some much needed sleep. 

Our German shepherd actually got tired of being inside so she took off outside to play.  She loved the snow and cold weather.  She even loved more watching the kids sled. 

We just got word that we have tomorrow off due to black ice...not sure what we will do!?!?

The world of weddings...

You have the ring...what is next?  Bridesmaids are chosen plus one more. Wedding planning is in full swing...

Weddings can be fun when you are a guest, but what if you are the one planning it?   It takes a lot of work.  You must be very organized.   This is the best organizer! It has a place for everything.  

Let me recommend you set a time line and stick to it!

AND THEN HAVE FUN! 

We went to a local bridal store to try on dresses.  It was fun but not successful.  We immediately made an appointment to have a dress fitted to perfection. I think every girl needs that in store experience to find what they don't want.  But the dress is the most important part of the wedding and what a girl dreams of, she must have.  So off to have it made. LuLakate in Charleston was amazing.  They can do anything.  Cannot wait to see my baby in her gown.  She will be Beautiful. 

Next up flowers, food, photographer...and a weekend in Charleston.

An Amazing year...A better year to come 2014

This year brought my daughters graduation from Clemson University...she is such a beautiful young lady.  All my dreams and expectations for her have come true. 

Her boyfriend of five years has ask her to marry him.  They will marry in June 2014.  We are thrilled to welcome him into our family.  I am beyond thrilled his family has taken her in as their daughter. She is very blessed.  God has revealed the most amazing plan in her life and has taken care of her.

As we toast the newly engaged couple...I am again reminded of how God brought these two together and has continued to bless our families.  2014 will be a year of joy and new beginnings. Such an exciting time in our life.
